Woot. OK, I haven't updated in a while, but nothing much has happened... until now. Here's the story:
Yesterday afternoon, I was just sitting reading a book, and suddenly I heard all this screeching of tyres, like people were doing burnouts on the road outside our house. I ignored it at first, but they just kept on going for almost 20 minutes. Then there was a huge screeching noise, and a thud. I went outside to see what the hell was going on, and there was a car driven halfway into the ditch outside our house. A few inches closer and they would've taken out our fence! So anyway, after while, they got out of the car, and started swearing at each other really loudly. I yelled out to see what was going on, and the guy(there was a guy and a girl) cam up to me and started screaming in my face. I was like, "Holy shit dude, what's your problem?" and he just went berserk. He tried to deck me but,(and this is the part where I thank God for the fact that I do karate) I managed to block his attack and get REALLY out of the way. I thought for a second he was gonna follow me into my backyard, but he got distracted by our next door neighbour's dad, Mike, coming out of his house. He asked what was going on, real calm like, and the guy went up to him. I was so freaked out that he was gonna wallop Mike, because he kept talking really aggressively. Then another guy came out from across the street, really bulky and angry. He started screaming at the guy from the car about how there are tonnes of kids who ride bikes and walk past here, and what if one of them had been outside when you crashed? You could have killed someone!
All the time this was going on, the girl had been pouring beer all into the ditch. I think maybe she was trying to hide the fact that they'd been drinking. Kind of a stupid idea really. If all the beer's gone, it'll look more like you drank, than if there's still some left! So she finished with the beer, and started throwing things out of the car, like a hobo-glove thing, a hunk of plastic, a six pack box, some bottle lids and the like.
Meanwhile, the guy was busy telling Mike and muscle-man to lay off him.
"She was driving, and she lost control of the car. It's too powerful for her... Look we've just been at a funeral, we don't need this too..."
And I was just thinking... "You've just been at a funeral, so you're driving like you want us to plan yours?"
Eventually he stepped away from Mike, and someone called the police. My mum was totally furious, and has been so stressed ever since,. She keeps imagining what would have happened if me or my bro or sis, or another neighbourhood kid was outside our house when the crash happened. She also keeps freaking about him trying to smack me in the head, even though I told her I'm fine.
What can I say?... it was a crazy day. At last.
